I guess I am what I would term a "normal" guy. I am an adult. I am not flawless. I am completely self-sufficient. Don't need your money, or for you to support me. I am financially secure. But I'd certainly love to have a coffee, lunch or dinner companion. More is always possible. I just don't wish to get ahead of myself (or you).

What you see is what you get. I won't/can't play head games, and won't tolerate them either. I try very hard too be courteous and considerate to everyone because I was raised that way, and because I believe that life is tough enough without me making it any tougher for others. I am told I am very passionate, both physically and emotionally. It would certainly be nice if you were similar. I am considered intelligent and articulate, but I don't expect a Harvard scholar! lol I enjoy a good conversation. Maybe I am odd, but while physical appearance is certainly part of the magic that attracts two people, I believe that a real, honest, and open conversation can create a bond that brings them together and connects them. I am old enough and have lived hard enough to be comfortable in my own skin, which is probably a good thing since it's all I have! That said, I am not hardened to life.

I have a variety of interests including motorcycling, bicycling, the outdoors, hiking, travel, reading, movies, dinners out, and much more. I am a published photographer, and writer (NOT famous though. Sorry!) I love animals ... particularly big dogs (especially Golden Retrievers, but don't have one now). I am comfortable in blue jeans, or suits and ties. I can mix and work with almost anyone. All-in-all, I am a pretty flexible guy.

In the interest of transparency, I am a widower after having been married to a wonderful woman for a long time. We had our problems and challenges, but we were best friends and enjoyed each others company. I lost my friend, my wise counsel, and the one person I could trust absolutely and without any reservation. As you might imagine, I value those qualities. I am NOT looking for a replacement. You can't do that for me and I don't expect that. I would like to meet someone who has the ability to help me smile. I would like to believe that there is something special left for my life, and also someone special who might share it with me?

I am not intimidated by bright and motivated professional women. I don't know exactly who I am looking for. I suppose I'll know when I meet her? The question is could it be you? I'd hate to miss the opportunity to find out. If you love to live life, then you should drop me a note. There's no obligation and no expectation, so you really have nothing to lose ... and possibly everything to gain.

I have never smoked cigarettes, am not much of a serious drinker (not against it, just don't take the time). I am not verbally or physically abusive, and I won't tolerate it from others. I honestly like most people. I love to laugh and to make others laugh as well. I have always liked life, and living it fully.

Conversation is cheap, and I'll happily buy the coffee. Again, there is no obligation. I take "not interested" like an adult! Regardless, thanks for reading all this! Wow ... good question. I guess for a FIRST date, I would lean toward something low-key and non-threatening. Something where both of us could/would be comfortable. A nice casual dinner out is always pretty safe. If there's a connection, then the date can always be extended.

Touring the country on a motorcycle. Would like to travel to Australia, Africa and Russia.

Hardest thing to answer! I guess I want to meet someone who "gets it." Who understands life and wants to live it fully. Honesty is very important. I am extremely supportive, however I don't want to spend the rest of my life acting as live-in counselor. I want someone who wants to share life as much as I do. Please, just be real!!!
